If you’ve ever found yourself waiting for a computer station—or for that matter, a whole computing classroom—to be freed up on a busy day at Mann Library, you'll be happy to know that things have just gotten a whole lot easier. Two new computer classrooms have joined the new CIT and Stone Classrooms at Mann. B30A (PC Lab) and B30 B (Mac lab) are located in the basement of the library and are loaded with many popular software packages, including statistical software (full list online here: http://supportingcast.mannlib.cornell.edu/software_abc/) The labs can be used for classes, with priority given to CALS and CHE faculty, and students can use the labs whenever classes are not being held. To check the classrooms’ availability before heading down to the labs, look for the day’s schedule posted in the first floor in the computing area, at the first floor stair to B30 A & B, or on the doors of B30 A and B. To schedule a class in the labs, contact the CALS Registrar (http://www.cals.cornell.edu/cals/current/registrar/faculty-staff/scheduling.cfm ). To get to the new classrooms, take the elevator to the basement and the classroom will be straight in front of you as you exit the elevator. Or, take the stairs to the basement and follow the signs to the classrooms.
