Did you know. . .?

You can find the top databases most commonly used by Mann Library patrons?

A list of our top databases and many other useful resources may be found on the Research Tools page.

Mann Library offers a wealth of information for users through its large collection of online resources, including E-Journals, online databases, and electronic reference tools. In addition, nearly 800,000 print volumes (stored both in Mann Library and at the Annex storage facility) are available, making Mann's one of the top library collections in agriculture, life sciences and human ecology in the United States today. The staff in the Library's Collection Development group regularly selects new books, journals, electronic resources, and multi-media/audiovisual materials. This steady influx of current material, combined with Mann's important historical collections support the research, teaching, and extension programs of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the College of Human Ecology and provide a strong basis for scholarship in interdisciplinary areas across the University.

Current Periodicals

Selected journals designated as "current periodicals" in the library catalog are located on the north side of the third floor in the Current Periodical Area. All other print journals are shelved in the regular stacks by call number. Many of our journals are available only in electronic format, so current issues are available online. Use Find E-Journals or the library catalog to get access to these current issues.

Reference Materials

Frequently used reference materials for use in the library only, including dictionaries, encyclopedias, manuals, and that are housed on the 1st floor.
