Would you like to make library research a more integral part of your teaching and research? Mann Library offers the following types of instructional support to faculty and staff:

Course-Related Library Research Sessions

We offer general sessions in which the students learn the difference between the Library Gateway and the Library Catalog; practice how to elaborate and refine their research questions, devise appropriate research strategies, and evaluate their search results; and receive an in-depth presentation of print and electronic library resources most likely to yield substantial information on the topic of your course. Your students will come out of this session with a clear idea of where and how to find the information they need to complete their assignments.

Would you like to provide a link to a customized list of library resources? We can help your students link to core electronic journals and indexes directly addressing the topic of your course straight from your page or ours by creating library research guides.

Course-Related Library Assignments

Would you like your students to familiarize themselves with library research at Cornell on their own? Consider creating a library assignment with us. Whether it is a database tutorial, a simple tour of the building, or another library component of an assignment, we can help. Here is a sample of library assignments we have created for courses in the past.

Course-Related Group and Individual Consultations

Teams or individual students needing additional help with particular assignments? Have them submit a consultation request form or refer them to the Mann Library Reference Desk to sign up for a consultation. We will provide customized research help tailored to meet their specific needs.
