Payment Options

Available methods of payment at Mann Library vary depending on items or services. Credit or Cornell Procurement cards must be presented by owner whose name is on the card. Copier refunds can be requested at the Circulation Desk (map it). Call the Circulation Desk at 255-3296 with any questions regarding payment options and policies.

Fines

Fines can be paid with cash or check (payable to Cornell University) at the Circulation Desk (map it). We cannot accept credit cards for fine payments. Fines that are not paid for by cash or check will automatically transfer to a student’s bursar account after 10 days. Faculty or staff fines that are not paid (after several notifications) will eventually be sent to the Cornell Collection Agency.

Purchases

Mann Library has a limited number of supplies that can be purchase at the Circulation Desk (map it), including blank CDs and DVDs. These items can be bought with cash, credit, check, procurement card or departmental account*.

Print Outs

All payment options listed below except for Copy Card or Netprint must be paid at the Circulation Desk (map it). A bill will be printed at the Computing center. Patrons then bring this to the Circulation Desk for payment. A receipt will be issued which can be used to claim your print job. Mann accepts the following for basic black & white/color print/transparency payment:

At this time, we DO NOT accept Cornell card for print payments.

Plotter (Posters)

Same payment options listed above for print outs, except Copy Card payment must be paid at the front Circulation Desk (map it) (with bill from Computing center), and no Netprint option.

Netprint

Net-Print is a laser printing service offered by Cornell Information Technologies (CIT). It's a fast, easy, and inexpensive way to print. Accounts can be set up to use bursar, cash, course, or departmental account*. More info on using Netprint at Mann, including locations and prices is on our Printers page.

Copy Card

Print and photocopy jobs can be paid for with Copy Cards. Photocopy prices are less expensive using a Copy Card than with cash. Print options and prices are listed on our Printers page

Purchasing Copy Cards

Copy Cards can be purchased from the dispenser on the first floor, near the copier/scanner for one dollar. A new card with no credit will be dispensed. You can then reinsert the card in the machine, or any one of the copiers to add credit (the copiers will only accept one dollar bills; one or five dollar bills can be used on the Copy Card dispenser). Special Collections Scanning/Photocopy Jobs

Special Collections scanning or photocopy materials can be picked up at the front Circulation Desk (map it). Payment options include:

  • Cash
  • Check (payable to Cornell University)
  • Visa or Mastercard

*Departmental Charges -Account information must be submitted. For Copy Cards, forms are available at the front Circulation Desk. For print jobs, the bill printed by the Stone Computing Center has the form on it.  You will need the dept. acct. #, the name of the accounting rep. for your department, and their phone number. Procurement card numbers are not accepted (the card itself must be presented by the actual holder).
