From Space to Place
Armed with a few dozen inexpensive umbrellas, students in DEA 1110: Making a Difference by Design taught by Sheila Danko have taken on some big questions: What distinguishes one environment from another? Why does one environment draw us to it, while another repels? How can generic space be transformed into meaningful space. Students' responses, displayed in an exhibit in the Mann Library Gallery from November 7 through December 3, 2011, are surprising, thought-provoking and beautiful.
