Viewing Cornell Through a Glass Past

Glass Past, the summer 2010 exhibit in the Mann Library Lobby, explores the historic presence of greenhouses in the built environment of the Cornell campus. Highlighted are the teaching research and teaching functions of these buildings as well as the leafy grace they've brought to the different corners of the university campus over the years.  Featured here, excerpts from the exhibit that provide some rare views of old Cornell, as seen through the glassy prism of its greenhouse history.
