Professor of biological and environmental engineering Lars Angenent co-edited and contributed to Bioelectrochemical Systems (IWA Publishing, 2010), which puts a spotlight on promising technologies currently taking shape on the clean energy and waste management frontiers. In this Chats in the Stacks book talk at Mann Library,  Dr. Angenent explains what a bioelectrochemical system is, gives examples of its useful application, and highlights current research on wastewater-to-product conversion and biosensors being pursued in the Angenent lab.
