NOTE: Cornell continues to follow guidance from state and federal public health officials, who will help to determine when it is safe for the University to resume normal campus operations. With no on-site staff currently, there is no access to library spaces and the physical collections, including physical items placed on course reserve.
While physical reserve materials are currently unavailable and we cannot supply new scanning or digitization services for items held in the Cornell Library, we are still able to supply many items electronically. If a physical-only reserve item shown here is needed for your course it may also be available as an e-resource via the Library Catalog. E-books may also be requested via the Recommend A Purchase form.
Course reserves are library materials and/or instructor copies that are held at one location for a particular course. While an item is on course reserve its loan period is shortened, usually to two hours, so that it can be more readily accessed by a number of students throughout the semester.
Unlike other library items, course reserves must be returned at the loaning library and may only be renewed in person with the item in hand, not by phone or online.
